Apparently I had been curating long before I knew what curating was. I would tuck away the information I discovered in a categorized, themed order to assist in achieving a solution. I am continuously in search for alternatives and to be more informed on various topics. So my bookmarks and lists continuously grow, admitting to you that I have about 10 bookmarking products that I utilize. Sometimes leading me to question which of my vices have the strongest hold over me. C'est la vie...An App Whore I Shall Be
I am transparent to inform my experiences with the site, I have also conducted my own research as well to provide factual data that gets hidden from the public with the help of Reputation Improvement Companies and Reviewers that don't publish unbiased and honest statements to assist their readers but to gain commission, click bait and pad their own wallets while the consumer is dealing with multiple data breaches, hackers and dead profiles. When I curate the information I obtain I do it in a matter of not summarizing what I read or expressing my interpretation of the information. I locate and provide for my readers to read for themselves and come to their own conclusion and take whatever action they see fit if any action at all. Influencing another's mindset has gotten careless and too much reliance on supposed numbers of likes or following has created a false perception for people to adopt. Negative factors about companies can and have been hidden, followings are bought and not enough questioning is being implemented. Consume To Stay Informed
What I discovered these past couple of years is my knack for Research and Development which I did not receive a formal academic lesson on other then from my mother, an Informed Consumer Professor, I playfully call her. I was taught by her that when not knowing something its best to ask someone that knows or look for the information myself. That lesson went hand in hand with the lesson of being an Informed Consumer. My mother was a hard working, smart consumer that would make it her business to know what a product does and how does it rank compared to others.
